1119 5th Street

This one story house sits under a front gable roof with a gabled rectangular bay on the south façade. The east side of the bay gable is bellcast and covers the recessed entry porch. The gables feature open eaves with wide barge boards and decorative knee brackets. The house rests on a poured concrete foundation, with a fully developed water table making the transition to the drop siding that covers the entire house. The windows in the house are all 1/1 double-hung wood sash with wide board surrounds on three sides and slightly projecting sills. The south windows have seen the addition of planter boxes. A brick chimney is located near the north end of the house, penetrating the roof at the ridge.

This property is located within the McLoughlin Conservation District but is not a locally designated historic site. Contact ocplanning@orcity.org for more information.
