  • Read and complete required application materials as required by each position on the Job Openings page.
  • Faxed applications are not accepted; all of the City's job recruitments are to be done online.
  • Allow 2 weeks from the date of closing to hear from us regarding the status of your application. You will be notified of your status via mail or telephone.
  • There may be one or several interviews dependent upon the position applied for.
  • If you are chosen to fill a position your employment will be contingent upon passing a background check per City Ordinance 01-1031. As a rule, this form will be given to you only when you are a finalist except for Police positions.
  • You may be required to pass a pre-employment drug test depending upon the position applied for.
  • You may be required to pass a pre-employment Functional Capacity Test dependent upon the position applied for.
