ANTON WENZEL HOUSE c.1907 -- Statement of Significance: Anton Wenzel worked for Crown-Willamette Paper Company in West Linn. Every day he would row across the Willamette in a rowboat to work. In his later years with the mills, he worked as a night watchman. After retirement in the 1920s, he sold this house - which he built - to his in-laws, August and Matilda Guenther, and returned to his native Germany. The structure is a typical post-1900 Oregon City Vernacular house. In the NR District, it is classified as a Secondary structure.
