Memorial Day Commemoration Service

Mark your calendars for the Memorial Day Annual Commemoration Service at Mountain View Cemetery.

Please join us for this special day of remembering and honoring those we have lost. We will be serving light refreshments in the morning upon commencement of the service.

National Day of Remembrance

Monday, September 25, 2023 - 10 am

Mountain View Cemetery is the home of our beautiful Parents of Murdered Children (POMC) Memorial Wall. This is the day we celebrate and honor our loved ones so people understand how much our loved ones will always be missed and loved. It is a National Day set aside so the United States remembers the tragic loss our country suffers from murder in the United States.

We will include a speaker, music, and the names of our loved ones will be read out loud. This year we will also honor police officers in Oregon and Washington who lost their lives in the line of duty. After the ceremony, we will have a barbeque and desserts for those attending. It is a wonderful time for us to visit and share with other co-victims and friends. Everyone is invited.

Upcoming Cemetery Events

The annual clean-ups are a great opportunity to get involved and give back to the community. If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity in your community? Mountain View Cemetery hosts two annual cleanup events a year - Spring and Fall. The Spring Cleanup is typically held in May and the Fall Cleanup in November. Volunteers meet at the Cemetery at 9 am and work alongside the maintenance crew until noon. Volunteers help with spreading bark dust, planting seasonal flowers, raking leaves or debris pick-up - projects vary with seasons.
