Parents of Murdered Children (POMC) and Other Survivors of Homicide Victims is a self-help support organization made up of persons whose loved ones have been murdered. The Greater Portland Area Chapter members, board members, and Chapter Leader Mary Elledge, have worked many long hours fundraising and awareness for their cause.
Mountain View Cemetery has welcomed POMC and offered our site as a home to build their long-awaited Memorial Garden. Everyone involved is excited to see construction complete and witness the final creation. The group's vision for a Memorial Garden has blossomed to include a stone cascading water feature as a nod to Willamette Falls and a granite wall with over 500 names engraved.
