1215 8th Street

This one story house sits under a side gable roof that features enclosed eaves and decorative knee brackets. A small shed roof is centered on the south façade over the main entry to the house. This roof is supported by newer steel columns at the corners, and has a steel balustrade. The house rests on a parged concrete foundation, and above this it is entirely clad with horizontal lap siding. The windows are all 6/1 doublehung wood sash with wide board trim, and appear singly, in pairs, and in groups of three. A brick chimney is centrally located in the house, and features a new galvanized cap. A one car garage is located at the basement level of the house at the southwest corner with a new aluminum overhead door.

This property is located within the McLoughlin Conservation District but is not a locally designated historic site. Contact ocplanning@orcity.org for more information.
