Who Needs a Business License

All Businesses and Individuals that are conducting business inside the City Limits of Oregon City are required by Municipal Code, Title 5, Chapter 5.04, to obtain an Oregon City Business License before doing business. In addition, all Businesses and Individuals operating within the City limits must comply with the City's Building, Zoning, Fire and Police safety requirements. It is the responsibility of the licensee to comply with zoning regulations of the City Code.

What You Need to Fill Out

• Commercial businesses are required to fill out the Business License Application (Español:  /documentcenter/view/801 Solicitud de Licencia Comercial).
• Home-based businesses are required to fill out both the Business License Application (Español:  /documentcenter/view/801 Solicitud de Licencia Comercial) and the Home-Based Business Worksheet.
• Temporary businesses and solicitors operating within the legal boundaries of Oregon City for up two weeks or less (for each occurrence) are required to fill out the Business License Application (Español:  /documentcenter/view/801 Solicitud de Licencia Comercial).
