Sanitary Sewer Master Plan

The City of Oregon City (City) provides sanitary sewer collection services to nearly 33,000 people spread across an area of approximately 9.3 square miles. Current users of the sanitary sewer collection system total over 11,200 active utility counts, including residential, commercial, and industrial accounts. The City owns over 138 miles of gravity pipelines (ranging in size from approximately 2 to 36 inches in diameter); 3,400 manholes; 14 pumping stations; and 6 miles of sanitary force mains.

A majority of the sewer system was built after 1980 with much of the sewer pipes being constructed of poly-vinyl chloride. The City commissioned completion of the 2014 Sanitary Sewer Master Plan (SSMP) to provide guidance on capital improvement projects for City projects as required to convey the existing and future wastewater flows to the TriCity Sewer District (TCSD) trunks and interceptors and eventually to the Tri-City Water Pollution Control Plant. The previous Sanitary Sewer Master Plan was adopted in 2003.

The Oregon City Sanitary Sewer Master Plan was adopted by the City Commission through the execution of Ordinance 14-1012 and became effective November 2, 2014.
