The Oregon Legislature sets maximum and minimum fines for all traffic tickets. Several changes have been made for all tickets written after January 1, 2012. The dollar amount on the front of each ticket is now called a "presumptive fine." Because of these new laws, the Court has a new Violations Bureau and some new processes to help you resolve some of the tickets.
Presumptive fines for general violations:
$440 for Class A
$265 for Class B
$165 for Class C
$115 for Class D
