We are giving away shareable copies of "Big Jim & the White Boy" by David Walker and Marcus Kwame Anderson and "James" by Percival Everett at the library. We will be hosting book discussions in July and August. Local Poet Emmett Wheatfall will help guide the discussions.

Righting Our History: A Panel Discussion Celebrating Oregon Black Authors

During this panel session, authors will share their thoughts around why they write, how they decide what to focus on, and the ways they incorporate Black history into their writings, revealing history that may have been hidden by others. The discussion will take place in the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center Theater starting at 3:00p.
