Public Information Officer (PIO)

There is a lot of information that must be communicated between the Oregon City Police Department and the public. While all of our officers and sergeants will talk with the media at different times, most of the information is relayed through our department's Public Information Officers (PIOs). Often there is information about public safety that we feel is necessary to communicate to the public. Sometimes this is because we are looking for people or information and at other times we are simply communicating information about different topics to our citizens. Whenever this happens, the agency PIO team will send a press release out. The media often initiates requests for information regarding different cases and incidents. The PIO releases this information as appropriate.
